Programs
The Children's School is a co-ed private school in San Diego offering academic programs from Toddlers-7th grade. Beginning in 2010-2011, we will enroll an 8th grade class.
We offer students a richly engaging academic curriculum designed to prepare them for their futures by teaching them critical thinking skills, collaboration and problem solving. Our programs strive to develop students not just academically but socially, physically, and artistically as well. Our students perform well on standardized tests, yet our emphasis on hands-on learning prevents students from feeling either pressured or bored. Students at The Children's School develop into confident, knowledgeable learners who enjoy school.
Our academic programs

Our artistic programs
- encourage and inspire children to express themselves creatively through art and music
- include specialized instruction in art and music beginning in prekindergarten
- study artists and their works in-depth during the annual Great Artists integrated unit at all grade level
- allow children to experience the joy of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and more through classes available on-site through The Dance Academy at The Children's School
Our physical education program
