The Building Bridges Campaign is a four-year, $2.0 million capital campaign to raise money for improvements to the school’s physical facilities and programs. We are delighted to report that as of June 2009, we have received enough gifts and pledges to reach our goal!
Thanks to the outstanding generosity of our community, TCS has completed its first-ever capital campaign. Building Bridges donations have already funded:
- purchase of the new preschool and toddler classrooms
- improvements to the middle tier playground
- renovations to the auditorium
- laying of the new grass playing field
In the future, the campaign will fund:
- development of the Nelson Middle Years program , which will add a 7th and 8th grade program to The Children’s School. Funds from the Building Bridges campaign will be used to develop the program’s curriculum and to fund construction of its facilities
- pavement of the faculty & staff parking lot
- continued upgrades for the current facilities
The improvements made possible by the Building Bridges campaign benefit the entire TCS community. Although we have reached our initial goal, there are always opportunities to improve our school. We encourage anyone who would like to make a capital contribution to support our ongoing efforts. Donations of all sizes are welcome; you may click here to make a contribution
Opportunities are still available to support specific parts of the Nelson Middle Years program or to recognize a loved one or your family through your contribution. Please contact Laura Lavoie, director of development, at development@tcslj.org, with any questions about the campaign or to arrange a meeting to discuss a contribution.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped to turn our school's dreams into reality. Your generosity will benefit TCS students for years to come.
